$4M Alfred P. Sloan award for tabletop tests of fundamental physics

Our research group receives funding from the Sloan foundation to explore new tests of the gravity-quantum interface with atomic clocks. Our lab joins efforts with the groups of Jun Ye (Boulder/JILA), Ana-Maria Rey (Boulder/JILA) and Shimon Kolkowitz (UC Berkeley) on this project, titled "Lab-based fundamental tests of General Relativity at the interface with quantum mechanics using optical atomic clocks". The award is among the 11 selected projects funded through a collective five-year, $30M pledge by the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, the Simons Foundation, the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation and the John Templeton Foundation. [Image Credit: Brad Baxley, JILA / Ye Lab].
