Congratulations to Dr. Fragkos!

Our graduate student Vasilis has successfully defended his PhD at Stockholm University in March 2025! In his thesis, Vasilis discovered that dark matter can exhibit quantum squeezing, and he explored fundamental principles of gravity that clarify how gravity might behave quantum mechanically.

His work tackles some of the most fundamental questions in physics today, offering a new perspective inspired by quantum information technology. His results open new possibilites for testing our current understanding of nature and highlight interconnections between different fundamental principles in the study of gravity and dark matter. The results will have far-reaching consequences as they open new lines of inquiry. Congratulations, Dr. Fragkos!
